Ospreys and Tim McCrill

Amazing progress has been made with the breeding of Ospreys at the Nature Reserve at Rutland Water & also a pair are preparing a nest in Ketton Quarry

Now in the twenty third year, Rutland Water is home to the first Ospreys to breed in England for 150 years.  We observe them from their arrival from Africa in late March, through to their Autumn migration, and so can you!   2010 was our most successful breeding year ever, so we’re looking forward to a fantastic 2011 season!  Come and join us at Rutland Water and learn more about these magnificent creatures!
